Saturday, June 13, 2026. Depart LLPL 8:00 a.m. David Cowl The George Langman Sanctuary is a 28-hectare ecological gem owned and maintained by the Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club. It lies just west of Bass Lake Provincial Park. A well-maintained nature trail winds its way through the cedar-tamarack forest that surrounds the marsh. Waterfowl, songbirds, mammals, plants, ferns and fungi make this hike a must for nature lovers and camera buffs. Meet at the Little Lake parking lot at 8 am for directions

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
