Sunday, May 31, 2026. Meet at the Carpool parking lot on the north side of Highway 26, immediately West of Highway 27. 7:30 p.m. Alex Mills Following all the enthusiasm for Whip-poor-wills at our November meeting, this evening walk will convene at a location where we can be pretty sure of hearing a whip-poor-will or two, and there is also a decent chance of seeing one. This is the night of the full moon at the start of the breeding season, and that should add to the whip-poor-will atmosphere. We will drive from the carpool lot to a site within a few kilometers, and then take a slow, easy walk to our target position. We should finish about 10 pm. There will be mosquitoes!

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
