Wednesday, May 6, 2026. THE GABLES 6:30 p.m. Meet at The Gables Parking Lot *(note: We will not be meeting at LLP area)* Please come ready to explore this 43-acre natural park in the heart of Barrie. We will walk the well-maintained trails and focus on the ephemeral wildflowers and naturalized spring bulbs, that are abundant in this mixed Hardwood & Pine woodland. There will also be an opportunity to view some of Kempenfelt Bay’s avian residents, along with the possibility of seeing some spring migrant birds, as they pass through this area. Easy walking on maintained trails, insect repellent.

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
