\nSunnidale Park is a real jewel in the West-ish end of Barrie. It is a 48-
hectare park with various habitats including a beautifully eclectic arboret
um. In early June Spring will be gaining a foothold and the bird song glori
ous. Among other birds, we’ll be looking for that master of disguises, the
Indigo Bunting. Looking black and drab until the sun hits him at just the r
ight angle, he is suddenly transformed into an incredible blue that indigo
only begins to describe. His exuberant song is a delightful burble of casca
ding notes.\nEasy walking, bring snacks and water\n
